Boy Meets Girl was an American pop and rock duo consisting of
husband and wife Shannon Rubicam and George Merrill. They are
best known for writing and performing the song "Waiting for a Star to
Fall," which was a top 10 hit in 1988. The duo released two albums,
"Boy Meets Girl" in 1985 and "Reel Life" in 1988.
"Reel Life" featured several singles, including "Bring Down the Moon"
and "Everywhere." The album showcased the duo's signature blend of
pop melodies and heartfelt lyrics.
