David Bowie, born David Robert Jones on January 8, 1947, was an
English singer-songwriter and actor, widely regarded as one of the
most influential musicians of the 20th century. He was acclaimed by
critics and musicians, particularly for his innovative work during the
1970s. His career was marked by reinvention and visual presentation,
his music and stagecraft having a significant impact on popular
music.
"Fame" is a song co-written by David Bowie, John Lennon, and
Carlos Alomar, released in 1975. "Fame 90" is a remix of the original
hit, released in 1990 to coincide with Bowie's "Sound + Vision" tour.
This particular single was released in conjunction with the Pretty
Woman soundtrack.
