Marty Balin, born Martyn Jerel Buchwald, was an American singer,
songwriter, and musician best known as the founder and one of the
lead vocalists of the rock band Jefferson Airplane. He continued as
lead singer with Jefferson Starship and Starship. Balin's musical
journey spanned several decades, marked by his distinctive tenor
voice and songwriting contributions to the San Francisco Sound.
Balin's self-titled album, "Balin", was released in 1981 after his
departure from Jefferson Starship. The album features a blend of
